Special General Meeting

Monday 28th May - 8PM

The purpose of the meeting is to consider and amend the Clubs rules, principally to comply with the Equalities Act 2010, however other amendments are proposed in respect of the period of office for the Secretary and Treasurer and the co-option of section captains onto the Committee.

Any member is eligible to attend however only Full Playing Members will be entitled to vote or propose and second any amendments.

Documents relating to the meeting will be distributed in due course which will include agenda, standing orders and proposed rule changes.

Whilst amendments can be taken at the meeting, in order to facilitate an orderly and constructive meeting, the Committee would prefer these to be submitted in writing and signed by a seconder. To be received by the Secretary no later than Wednesday 23^rd May 2012. This will allow consultations to take place with the proponents.

Proposed Rule Changes:

a)      Rule 4 (f) Country Members  (to re-instate)

b)      Rule 5 (a) President  (to amend)

c)      Rule 5 (b) Captain (to amend)

d)     Rule 5 (c) Treasure  (to amend)

e)      Rule 5 (d) Secretary (to amend)

f)       Rule 5 (h) Nomination of President (delete in favour of new clause (a) and (b) and re-number).

g)      Rule 5 (i) Co-option of Ladies and Rabbits section Captains ( new clause)

h)      Rule 5 (j) Transitional arrangements (add new clause and re-number)

i)        Rule 11 Subscriptions and Entrance Fees ( amend 3^rd paragraph)

j)        Rule 13 Rights of Members (to delete “and lady”)

k)       Equity and Equal Opportunities Policy (add new clause on course access)
