PGA Standard
Gareth runs a well stocked shop and provides a great customer service to all members and visitors. He also has access to all of the latest brands and can order in anything not available in store.
Gareth works closely with all major golfing brands – Ping, Titleist, Taylormade, Callaway, Wilson Staff, Nike, Stuburt, Footjoy and Srixon. Gareth offers custom fitting of clubs and hardware using the GCQuad which is part of the Yorkshire Golf Simulator attached to the shop.
When purchasing clubs you can see a world leading package of metrics and data to see how the clubs can improve your game.
About Gareth
Gareth came to Hanging Heaton in October 1999, he has been a member of the PGA since 1994 and gained his full qualification in 1998.
Playing Achievements
1995 – Reached the final qualifying for The Open Championship at Ladybank.
1996 – Won the West Yorkshire PGA Assistants Championship.
– Finished 15th in the PGA National Assistants Championship.
2002 – Qualified for the Club Pro’s Championship at County Louth, Eire.
2003 – Qualified for the Club Pro’s Championship At Saunton, Devon.
Won 3 Yorkshire PGA Pro-ams, and various Winter Alliances within the Bradford, Halifax-Huddersfield and Yorkshire Unions.
Golf Lessons
Gareth has established himself as one of the top golf coaches in Yorkshire. He works with members and visiting golfers to improve all aspects of their game.
Since 2019 Gareth has been able to offer lessons on the practice ground, out on the course or in The Yorkshire Golf Simulator attached to the pro shop. Each have their own merits and Gareth offers a range of special packages for all types of golf instruction.

Working With Juniors
Gareth has been instrumental in the success of our Junior sections for the last 20 years. Gareth is involved with players right from picking up their first club until they graduate into adult membership.
Gareth runs weekly coaching for Juniors on a Saturday morning as well as offering individual tuition packages. Gareth currently works with some of the best junior amateur golfers in Yorkshire.
